This is one of my favorite Mark Knopfler solos I just can't 2:23 stop watching this again and again.... Words can't describe how perfectly you have recreated the legend's classic solo... I've become your fan...

Thank you for your words - I don't have tabs, nor the motivation to tab it out. I suggest you slow this video down so you can write it down yourself, it's a good exercise as well! :-)

@@SantoshKuppens Yes, sure! I'd rather watch this video slowly (although I'm beiginner and it's quite difficult for me) than watch other videos with tabs but worse versions of this solo. and also you play so accurately that my ears enjoy it and it’s easier for them to catch the right notes.

Just the stock pickups - don't know what they're called. :-) I agree, they sound good (enough) to me as well!

@@joeyjojo8200 I'm afraid my knowledge when it comes too pickups is too limited to provide you with a meaningful answer. My guitar is a Made in Mexico, with Standard Single Coils in them. For me, together with the right sound, they seem to produce the desired tone. Hope it helps!

Umm, support by using multiple fingers would be my main tip. Don't use just one finger, use at least two. In terms of pitch, practice and listen. When it's off, the two frequencies will soar and interfere with each other, sounding off. It should be the same frequency, so only constructive interference between your sound and what Gilmour plays. Hope it helps!

@@SantoshKuppens Thank you this helps a lot. I think I got it down where the tone is for half bend and full bend, the only problem is execution, so I suppose it will come with practice.

Don't use strings too thick, finger strength and practice.
